Our History
My Energy Grants was established in 2019 with a mission to help the UK government achieve its goal of becoming carbon neutral by 2050. With the passage of relevant legislation in the same year, the UK has taken a significant step towards this important objective.
Shaun Yates, our founder, and Managing Director, has been a leading figure in the Eco industry for over a decade and has leveraged his extensive experience to successfully aid hundreds of households and tenants in adopting energy-efficient solutions. Our company was born out of his desire to make a real difference and help vulnerable homeowners and tenants to reduce their energy bills through insulation measures.
Our name was updated to My Renewable Energy in 2022 to reflect our expansion as we started installing ASHP and Solar panels etc in 2022. We have since partnered with Sarah Bingham, who joined us as Operations Director in the same year and has been instrumental in developing the private and commercial departments of the business.
We are proud to operate under the next phase of the ECO4 scheme, which involves upgrading home heating systems to air source heat pumps, as well as installing solar panels. These measures are designed to drive down energy costs and ease the burden on families struggling to stay on top of rising energy prices.
We offer affordable packages that enable homeowners to invest in their properties by installing energy-efficient systems such as air source heat pumps and solar panels. These investments not only help them save on energy bills but are also a step towards reducing the carbon footprint of their home. We serve households across the Yorkshire region and offer flexible payment options to make these investments more accessible.
Commercial enterprises are also benefiting from renewable energy technology, and we work closely with business owners to design bespoke systems that optimise the use of solar technology, promoting the use of clean renewable energy while reducing the impact of rising energy prices.
